FIRST LESSON FREE!

Every first lesson is completely free, with no obligation to book any further lessons. The session will last 45 mins, and in it we will discuss your current level of ability, what you want to achieve, and how we will get there.

All levels and abilities

I can usually help with any level of ability, from absolute beginners to those who are already accomplished but want to add something extra to their chops!

Most popular genres taught

I can help with most genres, including pop, rock, folk and blues and jazz. I can also help with more advanced techniques such as free improvisation and experimental methods.

Bespoke teaching programme to suit you

The most important part of learning to play guitar is enjoying yourself. You might just want to play a few Beatles tunes to entertain your friends, or you might want to learn advanced improvisation techniques that take your playing to the next level. Whatever you need, we will work together to achieve at your own pace and at a level that means you still have fun.

Discount for block bookings

Standard price per lesson is £30 for a 45 minute session. I recommend you book at least 4 lessons at a time to give yourself a chance of really taking on board what you have learned, so I also offer 4 session block bookings for £100. If you want to book more I am happy to discuss further discounts.

Online or in person

I can do lessons via Zoom or at my home studio in Hove. I can, under certain circumstances, come to you and teach in your home, but this is by arrangement and may incur extra costs such as travel.

And finally…

This might sound like stating the obvious, but you will need your own guitar, ideally an electric or steel stringed acoustic. I do have several which I am willing to loan to students, but in order to gain the most from your lessons you will really need to practise what you have learned at home. It’s also a good idea to have a good tuner – there are many free apps available on both the Google Play store and the Apple App Store.

So what’s next..?

I’m really looking forward to hearing from you, and hopefully helping you become the musician you want to be!
